Beta Help shape our fishkeeping community.
Finmunity beta terms
Version: 14 October 2026
Finmunity is a fishkeeping community run by Richard Summerfield. This beta is free and for adults aged 18 and over.
Your account
Use an email address you control, choose a username that does not impersonate someone else, and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for the content you share and activity on your account.
Be a good member
Follow our community guidelines. No harassment, spam, unlawful content, animal cruelty or disclosure of another person’s private information. Use Report for concerns and block members when needed. We may remove content or restrict accounts to protect the community.
Your photos and posts
You keep ownership of your content. By uploading it, you allow Finmunity to store, resize and display it to the audience you choose, and to make backups to operate the service. Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Content labelled Public and its replies can be read by anyone and indexed by search engines. Members-only content stays behind sign-in unless its author changes its visibility. Community content may be reposted within Finmunity. Other members can capture or share what they see, so don’t post sensitive information.
Fishkeeping advice
Members’ advice reflects their experiences and may not suit your tank. Check recommendations carefully and seek appropriate professional help for animal health concerns.
Testing and changes
Features can change and the service may be unavailable during beta. Keep your own copy of important tank records. Please report problems to Richard. We’ll explain material changes to these terms before asking members to accept them.
