I have noticed a couple of hydra on a plant leaf. I cut off the leaf and removed it from my tank. I stopped feeding for 5 days. I also will slow down on my powder feeding. Do you think this will help?

I randomly found Hydra in my Green Jade tank. All I did was stop feeding. I didn't feed for around 3 weeks, and all the Hydra disappeared. I haven't seen any since
